Custom Caller ID - Use Your Own Number
You can now use your own phone number as your caller ID when making calls. Add and verify your numbers in Settings, then choose them from the caller ID menu before placing a call. You’ll be charged the rate for your number’s country, and your contacts will see your real number instead of a pool number.
February 2026
Cheaper Rates for Israel and Palestine (+972)
We’ve reduced our calling rates for +972 numbers linked to Israel and Palestine. This is a reduction of over 70%, making calls significantly cheaper than before. For Palestine, these lower rates apply when calling Palestinian numbers that use the +972 calling code. The new rates are live now and available to all ZippCall users.
Mobile App Bug Fixes
Minor fixes under the hood for both our iOS and Android apps, mostly some bug fixes to make calling more reliable and includes our call quality data enhancements released earlier in the web app.
January 2026
Improved Call Quality Data
We have improved the way in which we gather data on every call made through ZippCall. This will enable us to continually improve call quality and ensure we are aware of calls that did not meet our high expectations. We want ZippCall to provide the highest quality for calls, no matter where you are calling. You may be asked for an optional post-call survey on some calls you make. Live in our Web app, rolling out to iOS and Android soon.
Improved Email Delivery
We've upgraded our email system for faster and more reliable delivery. Verification codes, weekly summaries, and other emails from ZippCall will now arrive more quickly and are less likely to end up in spam. Emails will come from our new address (hello@email.zippcall.com), so please add it to your contacts to ensure you receive them. If you're not seeing our emails, check your spam folder and mark them as "not spam.
Calling Rate Updates
We’ve lowered our calling rates to Croatia by up to 79%, with additional reductions for Cyprus and Argentina too. A small number of routes have increased (including UK/Ireland premium numbers (09xx) and calls to Sudan, Mali, and Sri Lanka). Standard rates to major destinations like the US, UK, Australia, and across the EU remain unchanged, so you can keep calling as normal. Please check the rate shown before placing your call for the latest pricing
Login to ZippCall with one-time codes
We’ve upgraded email login from magic links to a more reliable one-time code system. Now, when you log in with your email address, you’ll receive a 6-digit code to enter in ZippCall instead of clicking a link — making sign-ins faster and more dependable.
Faster Login & Stability Improvements for Android
This update adds a new 6-digit magic code login in our Android App, letting you sign in with a code sent to your email instead of magic links for a faster, more reliable experience. We’ve also included stability fixes to make authentication smoother and improve overall app reliability.
Faster Login & Improved Call Stability for iOS
This update introduces faster login using 6-digit verification codes in our iOS App (no more magic links), improved keyboard handling on the login screen, and enhanced call quality and overall app stability. We’ve also upgraded crash reporting so we can identify issues quicker and ship fixes faster.
