“ZippCall is the best service that I know. For many years I was using Skype and others to call my 94 year old mother. The only phone that she can answer is a "land line". So any ideas of WhatsApp, Messenger, Teams etc are irrelevant. When Skype stopped to become Teams I desperately looked for service which would enable me to keep in touch with my Mum. I am glad that I found ZippCall. As I spend a lot of time overseas on work, ZippCall is the only service that I use to keep in touch with my Mum in Australia and others if I need to call "land lines" especially. The service is so good and so cheap, it is embarrassing. Well done Josh.”

Even more, they immediately reset my account balance to the initial value to cancel out charges from the failed calls and even gave me additional credit to test the new update. “I'm an American living in the EU. Cheap audio and video calls with friends in the US are easy, even free — but with banks and insurance companies there's no alternative to 800 numbers. Standard phone plans here are a bargain for calls within the EU, but stiff charges kick in when you call the US, and with 800-number calls you can sometimes spend half an hour or more on hold. ZippCall has been the too-good-to-be-true answer. When I first signed on, ZippCall promised 5 cents a minute; it very quickly came down to 2 cents. $1.20 per hour. When I first signed on there was some problem that I can't quite remember now. There was an email address for customer service, but I was so hardened by experience that I'd given up expecting any real help. I gave it a try anyway and — to my amazement — within a few hours I had a personal reply from Josh himself. Not an irrelevant cut-and-paste from an FAQ page. He sorted it out. Five stars.”
