It connects you to any phone number in 200+ countries, including landlines that apps like WhatsApp simply cannot reach. You pay only for the time you use, with transparent per-minute rates visible upfront.

About Josh
I’m Josh Mead, originally from the UK and currently splitting my time between the UK and Morocco. Living abroad for stretches meant constantly needing to call banks, HMRC, insurance providers and other landlines back home. Every option I tried was either expensive, clunky, or tied to a subscription I didn’t want. So I decided to build something better.
ZippCall came together in early 2025, partly inspired by Skype announcing its shutdown. I built the first version in a few weeks and launched on Product Hunt in May 2025. People started paying in the first week.
ZippCall has grown entirely through organic search since then. No ad spend. Just people searching for a solution to a real problem and finding it. I write about building products as a solo founder at joshmead.me.
